Spurred by the recent killings at a Colorado high school, the federal government is threatening to go after the movie, music and videogame industries the way it has tobacco. Senate Judiciary Committee chairman Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) said last week that he may ask regulators to subpoena marketing documents from studios, record companies and game producers in an effort to find evidence that they purposefully use violence to attract youthful audiences.
