Kozmo.com founders Joseph Park and Young Kang have handed control of the company to CFO Gerry Burdo, who will assume the responsibilities and titles as president and acting CEO. Park and Kang will continue to hold positions in the company. Said Park: "Now is the ideal time for Kozmo.com to be led by someone equally obsessed with serving our customers and serving the bottom line." New York-based Kozmo, the largest delivery service for videos, food and other items ordered over the Internet, is among the legion of e-tailers facing increasing pressure to turn a profit.
Its IPO is apparently on hold.
