Video Business, September, 2000 by Gaudiosi, John

THQ has brought back to life the Evil Dead franchise with Evil Dead: Hail to the King, which ships for PC ($39.99) and Dreamcast ($44.99) on Oct. 11 and PlayStation ($39.99) on Nov. 1. THQ is working with Anchor Bay to cross-promote the games.

A 60- to 90-second trailer for the game is on all versions of Anchor Bay's Evil Dead II THX (Collector's Edition VHS, DVD and Limited Edition DVD tin), which arrived Aug. 29 at retail. A four-color insert card that promotes the game (as well as THQ's PlayStation 2 title Summoner) will be packaged in all versions of the Evil Dead II DVDs and videocassettes.

The game box is displayed on the back of Anchor Bay's Limited Edition version, and the clear wrapping announces the videogame preview on the box front...
