* Hasbro wants to sell Hasbro Interactive and Games.com, the online gaming site it will launch in December, sources within the videogame industry said. Hasbro Interactive hit pay dirt with Frogger on PlayStation, with more than 2 million units sold to date, but ran into a sales skid with updates of such classics as Pong, Missile Command and Q*Bert.
Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge, which shipped last month for PC and PlayStation, could turn things around. Mattel's interactive division has been for sale for more than six months with no takers. However, observers say Hasbro Interactive has more valuable properties including Battleship and Scrabble board games and Atari properties.
