MGM Home Entertainment will give more catalog titles the Bond treatment on DVD in the coming year.
The supplier, which has been criticized for pulling out all the stops for 007 discs but skimping on other catalog titles, in January will launch a new line of 20 feature-laden special editions starting with When Harry Met Sally.... MGM will also ramp up its release schedule, sending to market some 400 titles--or 30 to 40 per month--from its vast library of 4,100 titles from United Artists, Orion, Goldwyn and PolyGram. By contrast, the studio will finish this year having released 135 titles.
