VM Labs, Fox duo on Nuon.(Fox Home Entertainment, VM Labs introduce Nuon-enhanced DVD)(Brief Article)

Fox Home Entertainment and VM Labs are tag-teaming to promote the first Nuon-enhanced DVD, Bedazzled (March 13; $26.98). Fox is the first major studio to commit to the new technology, which adds bonus features to DVD playback that standard DVD players cannot access. The studio has signed on for multiple Nuon-enhanced DVDs (VB, 1-8).

Part of the strategy is for VM Labs to focus on promoting the technology while Fox markets the movies. Fox's TV advertising, which is aimed at the mass-marker DVD audience, won't mention the Nuon-enhanced features, but print ads will point out that Bedazzled is the first Nuon-enhanced title.
