SANTA MONICA, CALIF.--Sony Computer Entertainment America breaks out of the asylum this year with two first-party versions of its Twisted Metal franchise, one coming in June for PlayStation 2 and another for the original PlayStation in the fall. Twisted Metal: Black for PS2 takes the best-selling franchise into a new, darker realm.

The game, which is expected to earn a Mature rating, includes characters who have been released from a mental asylum. Sony's TV campaign will focus on the over-17 male audience.
