Sony Online Entertainment has reduced its best-selling EverQuest game to $9.99. The game is available in both a jewel case and mini-box version at stores. After purchasing the retail version, consumers must subscribe to www.station.com and pay $9.89 per month to play the game online in a multiplayer arena with consumers from the U.S., England, Canada, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, France, Italy and Australia.

During peak periods, more than 88,000 players have explored EverQuest's world of Norrath simultaneously.
