Timothy Muris, the tentative new leader of the Federal Trade Commission, has assured Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) that he will continue to keep close tabs on the entertainment industry to make sure violence isn't peddled to kids. McCain chairs the Senate Commerce Committee, which must approve Muris' appointment to replace the Democratic FTC head Robert Pitofsky.
After the FTC released its initial report blasting Hollywood's marketing practices, McCain requested that the FTC stay on top of the issue.
