* VHS product from 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment sold to Blockbuster and Hollywood outlets have been marked with a sticker asking customers to call a toll-free number if they rented or bought the title anywhere other than the two chains. The yellow sticker appeared on copies of Fox's Cast Away that streeted June 12.

The toll-free number leads customers to the Fox Consumer Products hotline. "Basically, we want our product to stay where it's designated to be," said Steve Feldstein, senior VP of communications for Fox. Feldstein declined to elaborate on the reasons the supplier had begun stickering its VHS product and would not comment about when Fox started the practice. Blockbuster also declined to comment, and Hollywood did not return a call.
