DIC has deals at Lions Gate, Golden Books.(Brief Article)

The video distribution rights to two large animation catalogs shifted hands last week. DIC Entertainment agreed to buy Golden Books Family Entertainment, then quickly announced it had licensed the bulk of its extensive existing catalog of TV animation, including Inspector Gadget, Madeline and Sonic the Hedgehog, to Lions Gate.

The DIC deal is Lions Gate's most significant acquisition of children's product and strengthens the supplier's sell-through catalog considerably.
