Hollywood pauses on ReplayTV.(Brief Article)

Hollywood heavyweights including Disney, Viacom and NBC have filed a joint lawsuit against digital recording service Replay TV and its parent company SonicBlue Inc. The suit is over new Replay features that allow TV programs to be e-mailed between users and commercials to be automatically deleted during playback.

The companies, including ABC, Showtime, Paramount Pictures, UPN and CBS--all part of media conglomerates that are invested in Replay--seek to enjoin Replay and SonicBlue from selling two new devices, the Replay TV 4000 and SonicBlue's DDV 2120 dual-deck VCR.
