CinemaNow downloads MGM. (Video-on-Demand).(Brief Article)

CinemaNow has struck a deal with MGM Home Entertainment to become the first online video-on-demand movie service to offer films from a major studio by download instead of video streaming. MGM is supplying two movies as part of a test that CinemaNow CEO Curt Marvis hopes will lead to a broader deal.

"The intention of both parties is to move forward and continue to work together," Marvis said. "We had to go through a lot of due diligence to prove we had the technology to do this."
