WASHINGTON--In an effort to bridge the digital divide between technology companies and entertainment companies, AOL Time Warner and Intel Corp. shortly will issue a joint "statement of principles" concerning efforts to protect copyrighted programming against online piracy. The announcement, by incoming AOL Time Warner CEO Richard Parsons and Intel CEO Craig Barrett, was made at a hearing last week before the Senate Judiciary Committee on digital copyright issues.
