Like two peas in a pool, Warner Home Video and WEA Inc. are teaming up to handle sales and distribution of video product from Big Idea Productions, creators of the popular Veggie Tales franchise (VB, 5-27). Under a deal confirmed last week, Warner will handles sales and WEA will continue with certain distribution functions.
"All product will now be in the Warner system," said Big Idea president Terry Botwick. "For the retailer, Warner will be the company to deal with." VHS distribution will go through Warner, and WEA will ship Big Idea's DVDs, which it already does for Warner. "The WEA people have a great passion for what we do," said Botwick, indicating there has been no problem with WEA's handling of the product other than "timing issues"...
