Marvel has signed a 10-year deal with Vivendi Universal's videogame unit to license the comic book giant's entire 4,700-character library as the basis for a massively multiplayer online role-playing title. Marvel will contribute writing and art assistance to VU Games' developers. The game won't be available until 2004 at the earliest, when two other hugely anticipated VU massively multiplayer games--The Lord of the Rings and World of Warcraft--are set to debut.
