BURBANK, CALIF.--Infogrames Entertainment finally took the wraps off its high-profile Enter the Matrix videogame on the Warner Bros. lot last week.

The first impression is that Enter the Matrix looks significantly better in person than it did in early-release screenhots. Not drop-dead gorgeous like Electronic Arts' The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, but attractive.

Four levels were available to play on Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube and PC on Feb. 4-two hand-to-hand combat excursions, one driving mission and one hovercraft jaunt (the game hits stores on May 15). Although routed as being nearly complete missions, these levels were a mixed bag since they really don't suggest how good Enter the Matrix will be.
