Warner Home Video has axed The Matrix special edition DVD set for an April 29 release. The studio instead will reprice The Matrix DVD to $19.99 and the two-pack DVD set of The Matrix and The Matrix Revisited to $34.98 in advance of the May 15 theatrical release of The Matrix Reloaded. Both DVDs will include a mail-in movie ticket for the sequel and a $3 mail-in rebate for The Animatrix DVD.WHV still plans a June 3 release of The Animatrix, a collection of nine short films by top anime directors delving into the world of the Matrix.
