They can get along. (Vid Bits).(Sony expects its handheld PSP device will do well)(Brief Article)

Video Business, June, 2003 by Chronis, George T.

* Contrary to the spin coming out of E3 last month, a Sony executive said the handheld PSP device due in 2004 can co-exist with Nintendo's dominant Game Boy Advance (VB, 5-19). The PSP "can be, in fact, synergistic and dynamically collaborative with Game Boy," Sony Computer Entertainment Europe president Chris Deering said at a videogame publishers event in London.

"Maybe it might compete with people on the planes, but in the schoolyard, I don't think people will be able to walk around with the PSP and treat it as roughly as you do with Game Boy." Movies and music on the Universal Media Disc software for the PSP would be priced at less than $12, Deering said, with games expected to average about $35.
