In its biggest effort yet to school consumers about digital piracy, the Motion Picture Association of America last week unveiled details of a multi-pronged campaign that includes public service announcements on TV and in theaters and a Web site that outlines "the moral and legal implications" of such theft.

The campaign began with a TV "roadback" on more than 35 network and cable outlets on July 24, with each network donating 30 seconds in the first prime time break. Exhibitors are playing trailers daily on all screen sin more than 5,000 theaters. The MPAA said each PSA will invoke the message "Movies. They're Worth It" and feature film professionals speaking about how digital piracy threatens their livelihood. The new Web site...
