* With the phenomenal performance of Enter the Matrix yet to kick in, videogame publisher Atari reduced its red ink in its fiscal first quarter and boosted revenue 68% to $84.7 million. Atari, formerly known as Infogrames, lost $12.7 million in the period ended March 31, compared to $22.9 million in the comparable 2002 frame.
The results don't take into account Enter the Matrix, which shipped 4 million units and sold I million copies in its first week of release in May.
