Sony Computer Entertainment of America last week introduced a new "combo" pack that includes the Play-Station 2, the Sony Network Adaptor and a copy of ATV Offroad Fury 2 for $199.

A package featuring the PS2 and Adaptor had been going for $199 since June. The console alone will continue to be priced at $179, which has been in effect since mid-May. The Adaptor and ATV title are valued at $39.95 each.

Sony will promote the new package with a multimillion-dollar marketing campaign, starting immediately with print advertising, then graduating to TV spots by fall. The campaign will be bolstered by point-of-purchase merchandising assistance.
