* MGM will break out a two-disc special edition of cult classic Escape From New York on Dec. 16 (prebook Nov. 4; $29.98) that will include the first issue of the new comic book series John Carpenter's Snake Plissken Chronicles with a collectible cover. Viewers will also get a look at a newly released 10-minute opening with commentary by star Kurt Russell and director John Carpenter.
