A New York judge ruled an antitrust lawsuit brought by Flash Electronics and now defunct wholesaler ETD against Universal, Ingram and VPD can proceed to trial. Federal District Judge Raymond J. Dearie said the $30 million lawsuit, filed in 2000, may move forward on charges that Ingram and VPD got product at lower prices than other distributors.

Charges that Ingram and VPD interfered with Flash and ETD customer relationships, fraud, misrepresentation and ETD's charge of breach of contract because Universal didn't give proper termination notice, also will stand for trial.
