Movielink free to plan future growth; feds: No antitrust woes.

WASHINGTON -- With the Justice Department lifting a major legal cloud from its future, online movie download service Movielink is looking to expand its distribution reach in anticipation of a growing market for portable video. Last week, the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice closed its nearly three-year investigation of Movielink and its five studio partners without taking any action.

"The evidence did not support a finding that Movielink had adversely affected competition through increased prices or decreased output," the department said in a statement.
