What has Michael Eisner done to deserve all this?
In this world in which top execs at companies such as Worldcom (MCI), Adelphia, Enron, HealthSouth, Tyco and even Martha Stewart are being indicted and convicted as frequently as shoplifters, what is it that Eisner has done that is so egregious?
He hasn't done anything illegal. He hasn't even had an affair with one of his 50-plus staffers (so far as we know), which got the Boeing CEO fired. It's arguable whether he has done anything to seriously damage the financial performance of Disney, a situation that resulted in the recent ouster of the CEO of Hewlett-Packard.
