Although the DVD industry remains divided into Blu-ray Disc and HD DVD camps, high-definition video is taking flight on the Internet. Boosted by an emerging technical consensus behind the use of Microsoft's Windows Media Video/HD format and growing access to broadband, the 'Net is attracting growing interest from producers and distributors seeking to get high-def content in front of an audience.
