Studios pitching DVDs to Starbucks: chain could sell music discs by year's end.(Brief Article)

Cream, sugar or DVD with that latte? Following Starbucks' successful entry into music retailing, Paramount Home Entertainment, Rhino Home Video, Image Entertainment and other DVD suppliers are pitching the coffee chain on music DVDs, according to well-placed sources. There's even word that Starbucks is crafting a wish list of artists it would want for its DVD bow.

The chain will likely be cautious, initially releasing a short-form DVD to test consumer interest, sources said, but suppliers anticipate Starbucks officially unveiling home entertainment plans by the year's end.
