Thank goodness someone stopped the madness and has begun using the jargon PSP when referring to movies produced on the so-called UMD format. Sony's billboards for Guess Who say "... on DVD Aug. 2, and for PSP." The industry needs to follow suit. Now that consumers have so quickly embraced the new PSP product, producers of movies for the PSP want to risk confusing them by calling those movies UMD movies? First, that requires explaining that UMD stands for Universal Media Disc, which often sparks a question requiring one to explain that this Universal has nothing to do with Universal Studios, neither of which have anything to do with Universal Music and certainly not the Sony PSP player.
