* Former MGM exec Malik Ducard has been named VP home entertainment acquisitions-business development at Lions Gate. Ducard will work with senior VP acquisitions Jason Constantine to increase home entertainment acquisitions and DVD premiere movies for the studio, officials said. He also will focus on acquiring rights for emerging movie delivery platforms.
"Malik has keen acquisition skills that will help us continue to build value within our home entertainment and library businesses and extend our disciplined acquisition strategy," Constantine said.
