EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: * No seems to know what will be revealed by HD DVD at CES. * But the Blu-ray side, seems to have just as much confusion. The HD DVD Promotion Group sent out glitzy looking invitations last week to the format's premiere event at the upcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The invite promised "Dinner and a Screening" and a chance to "join executives" from Toshiba, Sanyo, Microsoft, Intel, Warner Home Video, Paramount Home Entertainment and Universal Pictures, among others, to experience "the excitement of high-definition audio and video," see movie clips from the "hottest titles" and hear all the "latest news" about the format.
