* Any doubts that Apple has become a digital music company that also sells computers were erased in the holiday quarter, when it sold more than 14 million iPods worldwide and made 69% more revenue from the digital music player than from PCs. Apple sold more than three times as many iPods in the quarter ended Dec.
31 as it did the same quarter in 2004. Although it didn't break down sales by type, the debut of the new video iPod and availability of shows from ABC and NBC on iTunes undoubtedly played a part in the boost. IPod revenue was $2.9 billion, up 140% from a year ago and well ahead of the $1.7 billion the company made selling computers. Revenue from iTunes Music Store and iPod accessories was $491 million, up 177% from a year ago.
