CBS Corp/s Showtime Networks is the latest to join the Apple iTunes bandwagon. Full first seasons of Showtime series Sleeper Cell, Weeds and Fat Actress will be among the shows available for purchase on iTunes for $1.99 per episode under a deal between the two companies announced last week.
Apple has sold more than 12 million videos through its iTunes store since launching video sales in October, the company said.
