VOD plans bubble: IFC moves window up; Starz queries about iTunes movies.(HEADLINERS)(Video on Demand)

Indie film player IFC Entertainment will begin releasing two feature films a month to 11 million Comcast and Cablevision subscribers via video-on-demand simultaneously with the film's theatrical release. The plan, which moves VOD ahead of DVD release for the indie titles, was announced amid a flurry of VOD news from DirecTV, Starz Entertainment Group's Vongo service and major content suppliers Viacom, CBS and Disney.
