* Rockstar Games is breaking into the movie business by leveraging the best-selling Grand Theft Auto franchise and the popularity of Sony's PlayStation Portable. The publisher will release Sunday Driver, a gritty urban documentary about a custom low-rider car club, on DVD and UMD on June 13 (pre-book May 15; DVD $19.98, UMD $19.99).
The film about the Majestics car club in Southern California was bundled on DVD as part of the sex-sanitized PS2 Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Special Edition last October. The standalone version will be distributed by Rockstar sister company Jack of All Games in the videogame retail channel and to video retailers by Palm Pictures and Visual Entertainment.
