By Susanne Ault Some suppliers cut off shipments Tower Records has named Joseph D'Amico interim CEO and hopes the move will boost the retailer's allure to potential buyers. D'Amico replaces current CEO Allen Rodriguez, who exited the retail chain at the end of last month after nearly a three-year tenure.
Rodriguez chose not to renew his contract, according to Tower officials. Going forward, D'Amico's main objective is to sell Tower, currently owned by MTS. The chain has retained investment bank Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin to oversee these efforts. It's unclear how far along the bank is in terms of finding a suitable buyer.
