By Susanne Ault Nintendo says console, software and titles generated $190 million Trumping competitor Sony PlayStation 3, Nintendo's Wii game system sold more than 600,000 units in its first eight days on shelves, according to the console maker. When counting hardware, software titles and accessories, Wii has generated $190 million in revenue since its Nov.
19 launch, according to Nintendo. Retailers also sold through PS3 quantities briskly when the console launched Nov. 17, but a variety of retail and industry sources believe Sony was able to ship only 150,000 to 250,000 units on street date and is shipping 100,000 units per week now.
