Houston - This spring, while walking through the lobby of the Las Vegas Mandalay Bay Hotel to a company leadership meeting, Waste Management Inc.'s top executive, Maurice Myers, was accosted by an employee. She hugged him and said thank you. It is the kind of response that follows Maury, as he is known by Waste Management's 57,000 workers, after nearly two years at the helm of the once-beleaguered company.
