GM, Postal Service unveil plan for fuel cell vehicle.(News)(Brief Article)

Byline: Bruce Geiselman The U.S. Postal Service, working with General Motors Corp., will use a nonpolluting fuel cell vehicle to deliver mail in the nation's capital. The Postal Service and GM announced the agreement June 15, saying the fuel cell-powered minivan should be on D.C.-area roads delivering mail in September.

The date coincides with the opening of the nation's first hydrogen pump at a retail gas station. Last year, GM and Shell Hydrogen unveiled a partnership to provide hydrogen for a GM fleet of fuel cell vehicles operating around Washington.
