Byline: Bruce Geiselman Human activities likely are contributing to global warming, according to a recent Bush administration report sent to Congress. Environmentalists and Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-Conn., pointing to the report, called on the administration to support legislative efforts to reduce the emissions of greenhouse gases, including carbon dioxide from power plants and other industrial sources.
The Bush administration has endorsed voluntary efforts to curb greenhouse gas emissions, but resisted mandatory reductions.
