Energy Indiana halfway to tax credit expansion The Indiana Senate has passed clean energy legislation that would expand tax credits passed during the 2003 legislative session on the production and use of Indiana grain-based fuels and provides additional incentives for clean coal gasification plants.

The bill, which now has been referred to the House, also would provide an additional $3 million, through tax breaks, to encourage biodiesel production. The money would be divided into $1 million sections for the refineries, wholesalers and blenders, and service stations that carry the fuel.
