Byline: Roger Renstrom Social and environmental shareholder resolutions are turning up the heat on some of the country's largest corporations, including ExxonMobil Corp. The oil giant faces a Web-based shareholder effort dubbed Campaign ExxonMobil that seeks to convince the firm to take a responsible position on global warming and other climate changes.

Results For America, a project of the change-catalyst Civil Society Institute of Newton, Mass., and the advocacy group Coalition for Environmentally Responsible Economies of Boston wants individual shareholders at the country's 24 largest mutual funds - including the Fidelity, Vanguard, Putnam and American Funds families - to encourage the funds to support global warming resolutions at...
