Technology Baltimore firm files for bankruptcy Environmental Elements Corp., a maintenance technology firm, has filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code. The filing by the Baltimore-based company is in response to changes in the industry, increased competition and higher steel and other raw material prices, said Lisa Poulin, chief restructuring officer.
The company's European operation is not involved in the filing. The company plans to sell its operations, including the European division. Environmental Elements provides technology for plant maintenance services, air pollution control equipment and other products.
