Byline: Jim Johnson Boise Cascade LLC, which saw greenhouse gas emissions fall by 6 percent from 2000 to 2004, is joining a national program aimed at aggressively cutting emissions. The Boise, Idaho-based company is a new member of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Climate Leaders Partnership, which helps companies set greenhouse gas emission reduction goals.
"Joining Climate Leaders is an important step for Boise to continue our long-standing leadership role in conserving natural resources,'' CEO Tom Stephens said. "While we've been reducing greenhouse gas emissions in our operations for several years, we believe being an active partner in the program will allow us to find new ways to further improve our performance,'' he said....
