Branson pledges $3 billion for biofuels Billionaire Richard Branson is committing $3 billion toward development of biofuel initiatives during the next 10 years through President Clinton's global initiative. Branson, who has made his fortune as CEO of the Virgin Group, will invest all profits from the company's airline and train businesses into renewable energy initiatives.

"We have to limit our dependence on fossil fuels,'' Branson said. "We hope that this contribution will help in some small way to enable our children to enjoy this beautiful world.''
