Rumpke moves on 3rd LFG.(Rumpke Consolidated Companies Inc., landfill gases)

Byline: Jim Johnson Rumpke Consolidated Companies Inc. is pursuing development of its third landfill gas-to-energy project, this time at the company's Pendleton County landfill in Butler, Ky. Rumpke, based in suburban Cincinnati, already has gas-to-energy systems at its flagship landfill in Colerain Township, Ohio, and its Pearl Hollow landfill in Hardin County, Ky., spokeswoman Amada Pratt said.

"Rumpke has always been involved from a recycling perspective. It's just a process that once it can be done economically and once we have a partner, an energy company, [the company pursues development],'' Pratt said. "It's looked at on a case-by-case basis.
