Xerox research leads to erasable paper that may reduce waste stream.(News)

Byline: Joe Truini Xerox Corp. is experimenting with reusable, self-erasing paper that could reduce fiber use and waste paper. Scientists for the Stamford, Conn.-based company have developed an experimental printing technology that makes prints with images that last only a day. The erasable paper can be used over and over again.
"Despite our reliance on computers to share and process information, there is still a strong dependence on the printed page for reading and absorbing content,'' said Paul Smith, manager of Xerox Research Center of Canada in Toronto.
