Byline: Allan Gerlat I've been noticing lately that everything's contributing to global warming. And everybody's talking about it. President Bush acknowledged it in his State of the Union address, and his energy proposals like strengthening mileage standards for cars speaks to that, if not bluntly.
In the business community, 10 major corporations are actually calling for federal legislation, to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. And it's been coming up in more unusual ways too. In California an assemblyman wants to ban incandescent light bulbs and force the use of more energy-efficient compact fluorescents, to reduce energy use and greenhouse gases.
