UN report supports human link to GHG Man-made emissions of greenhouse gases are very likely the primary cause of global warming, and, regardless of actions taken today, the warming trend will continue through this century, according to an international report released Feb. 2. The warming trend would continue because of a lag between the time emissions are released into the atmosphere and the resulting warming, according to the report's authors.
However, steps taken today to address future greenhouse gas emissions could impact the degree of future warming. The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, part of the United Nations, unveiled a 20-page summary of its report in Paris. The full report will be available in about six months. Scientists...
