Throughout the 109th Congress, the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) Intl.'s legislative efforts have focused on extending three tax policies aimed at stimulating investment and development in the commercial real estate industry: 1) the extension of the reduced rate on capital gains and dividends, 2) extension of the 15-year reduced timeline for depreciation of leasehold improvements, and 3) extension of legislation relating to the expensing of brownfields clean-up costs.
